Hi! My name is Andrea Giambelli. I’m a Milan-raised, Toronto-based freelance graphic designer specialized in information design and data visualization.

I communicate ideas and information by crafting printed and digital visualizations of data, curating the whole process from the research and analysis phase to design and development.

My passion for graphic design and visual communication led me to move on from my background in architecture (B.A. and M.Arch at Politecnico di Milano) to pursue my Master’s degree in Design at Toronto’s York University. I graduated in April 2019 with a thesis titled Learning from Toronto, which explored the role data visualization can have as a medium to foster a dialogue between citizens and institutions within urban environments. At York University I also started my teaching activity in the undergrad course Information Design Concepts & Methodologies.

During the summer of 2018 I worked as data visualization design intern at Accurat, in Milan.

I’m a member of the multidisciplinary collective fōndaco, with which I collaborate for graphic design and web design projects.

I play guitar and bass.
